The school grounds and playground at Bees Circle Academy

Information

School information

Everything practical, in one place — the academic year, uniform, fees, enrolment terms, and our policies.

Here is where families find the practical detail — when our terms run, where to buy uniform, what fees cover, the terms of enrolment, and the policies that keep the school running well. For anything not covered here, the school office is always happy to help.

Our academic year

We run a January to December academic year, made up of three terms. Most learners join us in January, but we are non-selective — there are no entry exams — and we welcome children at any point in the year.

Term 1
Begins in January
Term 2
Begins in May
Term 3
Begins in September

Uniform

School uniform is available from Weaver Bird Outfitters at Runda Mall, Kiambu Road. All items should be clearly named so they find their way home.

Good to know

Enrolment, fees, and the questions we're asked most.

Enrolment & terms of admission

A place is accepted by signing the Acceptance Form and paying a non-refundable registration fee.
Please tell the school in writing by the first day of the term your child was due to start. Without that notice, one full term's fees become payable. The registration fee is non-refundable regardless of when you let us know.
One full term's written notice is required (the first to the last day of a term), or payment in lieu, for early withdrawal.
Fees cover the standard curriculum, including books and stationery and designated educational activities. Lost or damaged property may be charged as an extra.
The Head may, at their discretion and in the interests of the child or others, require removal, suspension, or expulsion — for example where attendance, progress, or behaviour is significantly unsatisfactory, or conduct brings the school into disrepute. No refund or remission of fees applies in these cases.
If your child needs urgent medical attention and we cannot reach you, we are authorised to act on your behalf as recommended by a doctor. A full, up-to-date medical history is a condition of joining, and should be kept current.
Yes. SEND admissions are considered on the basis of school and professional assessment reports, and we work with families to make sure every child we accept is properly supported.
Once your child is enrolled you receive login details for our ZOHO Parental Portal, where you can view invoices, pay fees by M-Pesa, and access school communications.
Yes — by prior arrangement, provided learning is not disrupted. New parents are asked to allow at least six weeks of settling-in time before observing newly enrolled children.

Paying fees

In full before the first day of each term. Invoices are emailed (and may be sent on WhatsApp) on or before the last day of the preceding term.
Yes — a 10% penalty applies to balances outstanding after the start of term. From 1 April 2025 the school no longer accepts instalments: only learners with a zero balance may enter class at the start of a new term.
By M-Pesa via the ZOHO Parents' portal. By prior agreement, payment may be made by banker's cheque or EFT/RTGS. The school does not accept cash or personal/company cheques.
No. Fees are not refunded or pro-rated for days missed through holidays, absence, illness, or quarantine. Families who withdraw a child mid-term are liable for the full term's fee.
Yes — a rebate of KES 5,000 per child applies for a second and third child. Ask the administration for the prevailing rate.
Yes — a referral discount of KES 5,000 is available when you introduce a new family to the school. Terms and conditions apply.
If the school must close for reasons beyond its control, fees are refunded only where the closure exceeds five consecutive working days.
